The 750 Club has been designed to help professional real estate investors meet specific IRS requirements needed in obtaining the professional real estate investor status tax designation known as “REPS”, which requires that a taxpayer must spend more than 750 hours/year providing personal services in a “real property trade or business” (“RPTB”) in which they materially participate.
The mission of 750 Club is to help real estate professionals track their hours working on one or more properties via an easy to use app that enables to user to log their activities in a manner described in the IRS tax code, IRC Section 469(c)(7).
Using the 750 Club app gives users the ability to log their time by property, by category, and activity types, which can be used to generate robust reports needed to substantiate (prove) your REPS status to the IRS. Please speak with a CPA for guidance specific to your unique situation.

In general, any activity that you perform in relation to actively managing a property that you own can be recorded and counted towards meeting REPS status requirements, provided that the activities considered to be “material participation” by the IRS. It is recommended that a CPA is consulted for guidance.

Achieving REPS Status
Achieving professional real estate investor status is more than just recording time. Largely, it is what activities real estate activities you engaged and how you document them. Furthermore, to be eligible for REPS, you must past three different tests. The first test is did you spend more than 50% of your time working on your real estate than any other job, the second test did you work spend at least 750 hours working on real estate, and lastly, the third test, would all of your time be considered material participation?
